Do you make cookies?
You'd probably be surprised to learn how many times I have been asked this - especially at conventions and shows. People often run over to my booth after seeing the Monster Kookies banner fully expecting to get some cookies. Sorry to say, Monster Kookies does not sell cookies! Monster Kookies is just a quirky name, really, and just like real monster cookies, there is a little bit of everything! To be perfectly honest, though - I make awesome monster cookies.

What is your stuff made out of?
Monster Kookies goodies are made out of a durable high-quality polymer clay called "Premo!". Polymer Clay is a man-made sculptable material based on the polymer "polyvinyl chloride" or put short, PVC. It actually contains no real Earth clay or minerals at all, and is only called clay because of the fact that it can be sculpted. It comes in all sorts of colours that can be mixed, much like a painter mixes their paints.

Do you make it yourself? How?
Yes, all of my stuff is made by me. The jewellery is not imported or made by anyone else - just me and my little sculpting fingers. Everything is hand sculpted from polymer clay. It starts out as a lump of polymer clay, and is then sculpted to the desired shape. It is then hardened in an oven at about 275 degrees F for 2-4 hours. After the clay has been hardened, it slowly cools down and is then detailed or antiqued with acrylics if needed. Then it is glazed with polyurethane up to three times and then dried. A lot of steps go into each piece!

Do you use molds in your work?
Nope! I've made a LOT of Industrial Hearts, and you'd think that it would probably be more efficient to make a mold of the base heart, but I just don't see it that way. I prefer to handsculpt my creations, that way every piece is slightly different.

How long does it take to make?
When you combine the sculpting, baking, glazing, and any other extras that it takes to complete a piece, it takes quite a few hours to complete a piece as there is much waiting in between - these waiting times are often spent making more creations. But because of the volume of orders I get, I usually set a two-week "deadline" so that I can take my time through the process - it definitely results in a better finished piece.

Is it water/heat proof?
Even though Monster Kookies goodies are finished with a durable glaze, I would not recommend swimming or showering with your jewellery on, nor would I recommend letting it sit in your car when it's a blazing hot day. The odd bit of water will not hurt it, and neither will wearing it on a hot summer day, but if you want your jewellery to last it's longest, I would highly suggest taking care of it as best you can and keeping it away from the elements. I've had many pieces of jewellery for several years now and they are still just as pretty as the day I made it - but I take care of it. You have to consider that my creations are special wearable art sculptures more-so than an everyday piece of jewellery.

How can I order from you?
Monster Kookies items can be bought in my Etsy Shop. If you do not have an Etsy account, and you have decided on a purchase, contact me. Let me know the name of the item/s you want, your shipping address, how you will be paying, and if you are paying by Paypal, please include your Paypal account e-mail address. I will send you a Paypal invoice for your purchase.

I see something in your gallery that I like, but it isn't in your shop. Can I order it?
Most of the time, yes. There may be the occassional exception in which the item in question contains findings and parts that I no longer carry or were one of a kind, but most parts can be replaced with findings that are just as nice. Just contact me and ask! If there is something that you see in my gallery that needs to be made specifically for you, please note that it will take about two weeks to create.

Do you do custom items?
I'm always willing to listen if you have an idea that you think would be suitable for the style of Monster Kookies. All you have to do is contact me!

Can I change anything about the item?
Sure thing! I'm always open to changing the colours of my creations or adding a name or date to the piece, just let me know when you're ordering your item and I can change it free of charge. Changing colours requires me to make a brand new item, so if the item is already made and ready to be shipped but you ask for it in a different colour, it will take the standard two weeks or less to create the item in the colours you choose.

What payments do you accept?
Monster Kookies accepts Paypal as well as major Credit Cards such as Mastercard, Visa, and American Express - Credit Card payments are processed through Paypal, although you don't need a Paypal account to use your Credit Card as your payment option. Furthermore, I accept Personal Cheques from those who may not be comfortable with online transactions. Canadians - I accept E-mail Money Transfers for those of you who bank online.

Do you do wholesale or consignment?
Wholesale, no. Consignment - in brick-and-mortar stores, only. If you think that your store is a good fit for my items, contact me, and we'll discuss it further.

Do you offer combined shipping?
Yes I do! You can order one, two, three, or however many items you like and it does not cost more. That's the beauty of combined shipping! If you can manage to fill up one of my boxes with all your goodies, that's awesome! However, for large custom orders like figurines and things that don't fit in a small box or are much heavier than my other items, I will give you a shipping quote.

How much does shipping cost and how is it shipped?
Wherever you may be, shipping is done via Canada Post Small Packet Air Mail. If you live in Canada, it will be sent via Expedited Parcel. Jewellery is shipped in a little box, snuggly wrapped with tissue paper and cotton, and packaged in biodegradable and recyclable padded kraft paper envelopes to keep your precious goodies safe! Shipping to the U.S. is $8.00, the U.K. is $9.00, and Australia is $10.00. Canadians and International Residents - please message me with your Postal Code so that I can give you an accurate shipping quote. The shipping rate tends to vary from region to region and town to city.

Do you offer faster shipping options?
Yes. Sometimes people are in a rush, and I can easily accomodate you. If you're in the U.S or Canada, I can ship items via Xpresspost for an extra cost, so just ask - this will get your items to you in about 3 to 5 business days after it has been made and shipped. Unfortunately for International residents, faster shipping options are ridiculously expensive - however, they are still being offered if you ask. Please keep in mind that anything made to order, though, can take about two weeks or so to create.

Do you ship worldwide?
Yes I do! In fact, I have sold jewellery to every single continent! No matter where in the world you are, you can own a piece of Monster Kookies jewellery.

How long does it take to ship?
Folks in Canada can expect to get their packages in about a week or so, and folks in the U.S can expect to get their packages in about 2 weeks or so. Most international residents get their Monster Kookies jewellery in about 2 weeks, but it can sometimes take 3 or 4 weeks at the very most.

Do you offer gift wrapping?
Monster Kookies jewellery comes snuggly wrapped in white tissue paper and then put into a little gift box. It's ready to give as a gift right from the day it comes to you. If you want me to add a little note inside, just let me know!

Do you accept returns?
Yes, but if there is a problem please contact me so that we may talk it over, and please let me know you are returning it before you do so just so I know when to expect it. It must be returned in a timely manner and in the same condition as you received it in. Make sure it is packaged in the same box it came in or safely packaged so that it gets to me in one piece. When I receive it, I will reimburse you the money through Paypal, aside from shipping.
